Pusoy – Asians have long played (Chinese poker). The 747Live game’s “exciting” elements have contributed to its popularity elsewhere. Getting started is easy with simple rules that only require a basic knowledge of poker hand rankings.  There is a lot of luck involved, so a beginner has a decent chance of winning even against expert opponents. Unexpected wins and high-ranking hands are common in the game format.

Play the game

Chinese poker is usually played by four people; however, two or three can play.

Poker Ranking

To play Pusoy, you need to know how to play Poker. As in poker, the hands go from best to worst, starting with a royal straight flush and ending with no pair. Three aces is the best “front” hand, and 2-3-4 is the worst.

– The cards are ranked from best to worst: A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2

– In poker, from best to worst, the Royal Flush is the best hand.

Dealing and Playing

Each Pusoy player receives 13 cards from a 52-card deck. Players divide their cards into three poker hands:

Two five-card sets, “the middle” and “the back.”.

One with three cards is “the front.” Only three hands are possible. 3 of a type; 1 pair; high card

Straights and flushes do not count in the three-card hand; thus, the back must be the highest and the front the lowest. Place the back hand face down on the table in front of the player, followed by the middle hand and the front hand.

After setting their hands, players will proclaim (clockwise, starting from the left of the dealer) if they are playing their hand. All players announce their royalties before showing their hands.

No matter the other players’ hands, a player with naturals wins.

Winning and Scoring

Popular case

Before the game, Pusoy players agree on a stake amount called UNITS. A player gets one unit from each opponent whose front, middle, or back hand they beat. Unlike other poker games, being second-best at the table wins money. Some versions pay an extra unit if players win two or three hands. Players only gain an extra unit if they win all three hands (SCOOP) in other versions.
Pinoy Pusoy games uses 1-6 scoring. The 1-6 technique pays 1 unit for each of the three hands won and 3 bonus units if they win all three.

Special Case

Players with strong hands may receive royalties or bonuses. Players must disclose royalties before revealing their hands. These hands and combinations are commonly granted royalties:

Naturals are royalty that reward a player immediately, before anyone surrenders, and without setting their hand.

Mis -Set Hand

If a player misses their hand (e.g., puts three of a kind up front but only two pairs in the middle), they must pay each opponent the same amount as getting SCOOPED. Some varieties demand hands-on play.
